Hudson Valley Light

The morning light
Shines through Venetian blinds
Illuminating my home
Not crisp as Venetian light
Country light flickers
Dappled by leaves
Unlike in Venice
Hudson light rollicks
Amidst the trees

Dutchess County resident Jim Seegert is a frequent reader throughout the Hudson Valley. He’s a regular on the New Paltz based Calling All Poets (CAPs) international zooms as well a monthly in-person reader at Lit Lit at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, NY. He’s also a regular contributor to the Blue Stone Poets readings in Saugerties, NY and lends his expertise bi-weekly to the Hudson Valley Writer’s Workshop.
